Pool Time

I just returned from taking Maddie home after her visit this week.  We had so much fun with her.  We really didn't do anything special, yet we were going nonstop everyday!!  She is so much fun!  We can't wait until baby sister can join in on our adventures.  She is growing and changing everyday!

Of course we visited the "sand castles"!  She even got to help Pop load a truck this time!

Pop helped her practice riding her bike....

But mostly we swam, and swam and swam!!

Conquering the diving board!!

Jumping off the side!  Love that sweet smile!!

After a little help from Uncle C and Pop the slide became her favorite!!

She was so proud of herself for jumping off the side and going under!!  (She's still not too sure about getting her face wet.)

Ending the day with a popcicle with Uncle C or checking out the goldfish with new friends are great ways to end the day!!

And this little angel just celebrated her first milestone-

I can't imagine anything more wonderful than being a grandparent!!

The Girls

Reed and I made a quick trip to Alexander City to bring Maddie back for a few days.  While there Maddie and I spent a little time in the sprinkler and in her pool.  And yes, Nana did play in the sprinkler and get in the pool :) ! Lillian is growing and changing everyday!!

Fun in the sprinkler and pool!

Isn't she an angel?

A Special Birthday

The family recently joined together for cake and ice cream to celebrate a special birthday.  Papa seemed to enjoy the day, and we thoroughly enjoyed spending the day with him!

Time with family is always the best!

Princesses One and Two

While visiting with the girls recently, Maddie and I purchased a princess outfit and she wore it for two days straight!!  She only took it off to sleep.  Baby sister is absolutely beautiful and is such a wonderful baby.  I can't wait until my next visit!

Princess 1- The picture in the middle is by far my favorite!!  Love that look!!

And Princess # 2-Our newest angel

Both Princesses!  Maddie is a great big sister - I can't wait to watch them grow up together!

Happy Father's Day

Thanks for all the ways you care for us.  We love and appreciate all of your hardwork and devotion!!  We love you more than you will ever know!!

These two think you are simply the best!

And this little girl thinks you hung the moon!

And I know it won't be long until this one is wrapped around your finger too!  Or maybe that will be the other way around!

Happy Father's Day to Papa, too!

And Happy Father's Day to our sweet son in law!

Bundle of Joy

A little over 3 years ago, Reed and I were introduced to the wonderful world of being grandparents.  I must say that there is no way I can put into words what an awesome experience it has been.  It is a type of love that you simply can't explain.  I am so happy to say that we now have another absolutely beautiful granddaughter to love and cherish. (Notice I didn't say spoil - We would never do that!)  Maddie has been the perfect big sister.  Lindsey and Josh have been pretty awesome too.  I truly hate that we live so far apart, but I do plan on making that trip across the state quite often this summer.

Isn't she beautiful?
( Believe it or not, I didn't have my camera, so these were all taken with my phone.)

Lindsey was pretty amazing.  This angel weighed 8 lbs and 12 ounces!  Once again, Pop, Uncle C and I are totally, completely in love!!

And what do you do with a 3 year old when her mom is labor for a long, long, long time?  You send her off with Pop and Uncle C for an afternoon of fun at Frog Legs.  After their time playing, they drove around Auburn for an hour to let her sleep!

I have since taken some really cute pictures that I will share later.  I will add that she is pretty close to a  perfect baby.  She rarely ever cries and is simply beautiful.  Maddie has also been a terrific big sister!

Fun in the Sun

Lindsey was put on bed rest for a few days, so Maddie came to visit.  She is quite the water bug.  We spent lots of time in the pool.  Pop also took us to the river one afternoon.  She loved playing on the sandbar and helping drive the boat!

First, helping Pop drive the boat is serious business~

Fun in the water and on the sand bar-

 Our little water bug!

Swimming is even more fun when you have friends over!

I love that she is spending time with Rainer and Brady.  Kelly and Lindsey spent countless hours swimming here together and Brady's granddaddy was actually in our wedding!

Maddie and the other kids loved swimming with Allison and Jessi!  They are wonderful to play with!

No trip would be complete without a visit to the sand "castles"!!

This trip ended rather suddenly with a phone call from Lindsey.  We loaded up and headed to Alex City (actually Auburn) to await the arrival of a very special bundle of joy!!

Our Little Graduate

I recently made a quick trip to Alexander City and back in one day.  But boy was it worth it!  Maddie  graduated from her daycare and they held a precious ceremony!  I know that over the years we will have to miss some of her events since we live so far apart. However, when at all possible Nana and Pop will be there.  This is one event that I am so glad I didn't miss!

Maddie and her best friend Caleb walking in
Precious!
Receiving her certificate and medal.  Each child told what they wanted to be when they grew up.  All of the girls except Maddie wanted to be a princess.  Maddie wants to be a cheerleader like her Mommy.

Celebrating afterwards

Miss Angela- Josh and Lindsey could not have asked for better care away from home.  She has been wonderful!

I have to admit that I did shed a tear or two!  She is growing up so fast!!
